The Tyrnos 10, it is a smidgeon wider than the Tyrnos 8 so it holds more line & is just 9 grams heavier. It has the heavier weighted 8/10kg rod so go for that if you are into deeper water bottom fishing, light trolling or chasing bigger kingi's and snapper. The Tyrnos 10 2 speed has an additional gear that is engaged by pushing a button on the side of the handle and is used when playing particularly big fish. If you are fishing shallower water (under 50m), soft baiting, slow jigging, straylining and light action fishing the Tyrnos 8 with 7 foot 6/8kg rod & 15lb braid is the way to go.

Ideally the Tyrnos 8 would be fished with 10-15lb braid becuase of the the lighter rod it comes with.

The rods feature a black blank with black and silver bindings, extra- hard EVA grips, a gimbal fitting on the 8/10kg rod, heavy duty guides with ceramic inserts to deal with braided lines.
